About Me
Finding Inspiration in Every Turn
My name is Dr Bryony Norburn and I am the leading expert on British female cryptanalysts from 1914 to 1946. Spanning the period from the Great War, through the interwar period to the Second World War at Bletchley Park, I have researched top level women working in cryptanalysis in the United Kingdom during this period. Completing and publishing my thesis in October 2021. My working life has evolved mostly around history, I have worked for The Chiltern Open Air Museum, The National Trust, The Museum of London and The University of Buckingham. More recently I have decided that I would like to devote myself to sharing the results of my research through public speaking and mentoring Humanities students.
Welcome to my site, where I share insights and knowledge on the impactful subjects of World War I and World War II. In addition to my engaging talks, I also provide academic mentoring to help students excel in their studies. Together, we can explore the complexities of historical events and enhance your understanding of the past. Let's embark on this educational together!
